This Privacy Policy explains how Makronexus ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information in Fixly (the "App"), including our web app and mobile apps.

Fixly connects homeowners with local service providers. The App uses location, messaging and notifications, analytics, crash reporting, and media upload features to deliver core functionality.
The App is operated in Zimbabwe by Makronexus. References to regional laws include Zimbabwe’s Cyber and Data Protection Act and other applicable regulations.
Data we collect
Account and profile
- Name, email address, phone number, password or authentication tokens.
- Profile details you provide (photo/avatar, business details, service categories, pricing preferences).
- Verification documents and images you upload and associated metadata.
Location
- Approximate or precise location from your device when you grant permission; service addresses and manual addresses you enter.
Usage and analytics
- App events and usage metrics via Firebase Analytics.
- Device/app info, diagnostics and crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics.
Communications and notifications
- Push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and in-app notification preferences.
Bookings, payments, and content
- Bookings, negotiation messages, reviews, ratings.
- Payment amounts and status; payment processing may be handled by third parties (we do not store full card numbers in the App).
- Media you upload (images, documents) and generated thumbnails/metadata.
Cookies and similar technologies
- On web, we may use cookies/local storage for authentication, preferences, analytics, and performance.
How we use data
- Provide, operate, and improve the App and core features like accounts, search, maps, bookings, payments, and notifications.
- Personalize experience (e.g., sort providers by proximity or relevance).
- Communicate updates, security alerts, and support; send transactional notifications related to bookings.
- Measure performance and improve reliability through analytics and diagnostics.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of terms; ensure platform safety and integrity.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce agreements.

Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described, including to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize data.

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards including encryption-in-transit, least-privilege access, and secure development practices. No system is 100% secure; use strong credentials and keep them confidential.

- Location: manage device permission anytime; manual address entry is available.
- Notifications: manage push in device settings or in-app.
- Cookies/storage: control via browser settings; you can clear site data.

- Access, correction, deletion, portability (subject to verification and law).
- Object to or restrict certain processing where permitted by law.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Children’s privacy
Fixly is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your country). If you believe a child provided personal data to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
International transfers
We may process and store information in countries outside your own. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or other recognized mechanisms). If your data originates in Zimbabwe, we will handle cross-border transfers in line with Zimbabwean law and POTRAZ guidance.
